Terms and Conditions

Making a Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. You can find the product you are looking for either by browsing through individual departments using the tabs at the top of the pages or by using the ‘Quick Search’ facility on the right hand side of the screen close to the top. Accompanying each product will be a ‘Delivery Info’ icon detailing carriage charges, an option to enlarge the image so you can see more detail and a size chart (in the case of clothing).

Click on the 'Add to Cart' button for any items that you wish to buy. This will place the items into your shopping cart and you will get a screen that says CONFIRM; CHECKOUT; CANCEL. If you wish to buy more than one item (go on you know you want to) click on CONFIRM and it will take you back to the department you just left so that you can continue your shopping trip. You can view, amend and remove the contents of your cart at any time by clicking on 'View Cart'. Once you have bought all the items you require, click on "Checkout". You will see a screen that lists all of the items that you have purchased with a total figure at the bottom (you can afford it).

Then click on the NEXT button to enter your name and address details. Continue to click on the NEXT button to move to the next screen(s). You will b egiven the option to pay either by credit/debit card or by PayPal (you must have a PayPal account for this option).

Depending on how you have chosen to pay, you will then be transferred to the secure payment page. You will come to a PayPal page with a logo in the top right hand of the page. This is where you enter all your credit card information. You will spot the yellow padlock on your screen (top right or bottom right depending on your browser) screen confirming that the data you enter is secure. NetBanx are our on-line payment partners and they will scrutinize the credit card information you enter when you enter it. If there is any data you enter that NetBanx believes to be inaccurate, your order will not process properly and you will be asked to re-enter the correct data.

Once the order transaction is complete you will receive a Transaction Confirmation email from PayPal with a transaction reference number and also one from Bennetts Winter Sports with your order number. Please keep these emails for future reference.

Please note that we accept PayPal, Maestro, Delta, Visa, MasterCard, Solo, Visa Electron and JCB. Unfortunately, we do NOT accept American Express or Diners Club.

Your contract begins with Bennetts on dispatch of your order.

Credit Card Security

Shopping at Bennetts Winter Sports is 100% SAFE, SECURE and EASY. This web site uses a secure payment gateway for the collection of your card details.Paypal, our payment gateway, has been approved by a number of banks to facilitate Internet transactions on our behalf. Similarly Bennetts Winter Sports. has been given authority by Streamline and The Royal Bank of Scotland Bank to take card payment. All the information you pass at the payment page (including your credit or debit card numbers) are encrypted. The information is then taken off the internet and passed to the bank via a private link. The information you pass at the payment page is not held in clear text on any web site involved in this process.

Back Orders

We make every effort to have all of the products we feature on our website in stock at all times. However, it is not always possible to reflect stock levels precisely on our website. In addition, skiing is a seasonal business and de-stocking of certain lines will occur towards the end of each season. We try to keep our website as up to date as possible when stock items are no longer available but even Russ is not perfect.

If any goods you order are out of stock, we will inform you by e-mail promptly and Russ will give you an estimate as to when he will have them available for you. Typically, no line of stock is unavailable for any longer than 7 working days. However, you will always maintain the right to cancel your order if you would rather not wait and we will immediately refund your credit card. If you do decide to proceed, we will place a back order with our supplier and get the product to you within 48 hours of it arriving into stock.

Special Orders

If you are searching for a specific item that you cannot find on the site and/or that we do not normally stock but can obtain for you, this is classed as a 'special order'. Once you have placed a 'special order' with us and we have placed that order with the supplier, you are obligated to accept the item purchased. Any subsequent problems with that item will be dealt with in line with our Returns Policy with the exception that credits against future purchases will be made, rather than full refunds.

Recycling at Bennetts Winter Sports

We like to think that because we sell equipment that enable people to enjoy the outdoors, that it makes sense for us to play our role in preserving the outdoors.

In this respect, we recycle as much as we can and this particularly applies to packaging. We receive cardboard boxes every week from our suppliers containing product. Even though cardboard can be pulped and re-used, it would be a shame not to use good quality boxes again for their intended purpose. Consequently our policy is to re-use the boxes we receive from our suppliers when packing up your internet orders. So, please don’t be surprised if you order arrives in a box you can’t match with your order – it’s because we’re helping preserve the great outdoors.

Delivery Times

Dispatch within 48 hours. Orders after noon on Friday will be dispatched the following Monday (or Tuesday if a Bank Holiday).

UK - Allow 1-3 working days for delivery using a courier or trackable Royal Mail service. You will be notified if there will be a significant delay.

Europe - Allow 7-10 days for delivery.

Rest of the world - Allow 11-15 days for delivery.

These delivery times are estimates. While we make every effort to dispatch your order promptly, delivery times may take longer because of circumstances beyond our control.

Delivery Costs

We provide a number of different options for delivery. We require all ski & snowboard deliveries to tick the £12.00 delivery option due to the heavy nature of the items. Unfortunately we will not be able to complete the order until the balance is paid if another delivery option is clicked at the payment page. The price is per order not per item. Orders over £600.00 have Free Delivery.

Please ask to which country we do not ship to.

Missing Delivery

If you think the delivery of your goods is overdue, please contact us by email ( quoting your order number, or telephone 01226 248896.

Ski Binding Mounting

We offer a free binding mounting with all skis and bindings purchased online, if we have the information for boot sole length, and DIN setting number on the bindings. We strongly recommend having your boot to check the boot to binding fit. Without physically having your boot to set the binding we cannot perform final safety checks. Your local ski shop or resort shop should be able to do this for you.

Incorrect or Damaged Goods.

If you have received incorrect or damaged goods, we will give a full refund. In the case of damaged goods we reserve the right to an independent opinion on whether the goods qualify for a refund.

In the case of incorrect or damaged goods, we will reimburse the cost of you posting the goods back to us once the cost has been agreed by our Customer Service Department. We strongly advise you to use a recorded delivery service. If a recorded service is not used and the goods do not reach us, we will not be held responsible for the cost of the goods.

Unsuitable Goods

If the goods are unsuitable for you we will refund the cost of the goods less any delivery provided they are returned to us within 10 days of your receipt date, the goods are new and unused with all the original packing, labels and Bennetts receipts. No refunds are given for unwanted purchases made online. Goods can be exchanged for items to the same value, but the return postage cost is the purchaser's responsibility.

Any additional postage costs will be deducted from the credit value. Please note that if you are buying skis and require the bindings mounted, certain skis will require us to drill into the ski to mount the binding. In this case we are unable to offer a refund/exchange under our unsuitable goods policy.

Special orders specifically obtained for customers are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Return Procedure

The returns procedure is as follows. Unless it is adhered to we cannot process your return.

  • Print out our Return Note.
  • Please provide a full description of the reason for return in the area provided. Return this at the same time as the item.
  • Make sure the item is wrapped in the original wrapping with all labels and tags relating to the returned item.
  • Include the original receipt or proof of purchase. Without this we may not be able to offer a refund.
  • Send the package back to us at the address on the Returns Note. We strongly advise that you use a recorded delivery service as we cannot be held responsible if the item is not delivered back to us safely.
  • Please allow 14 days for your return to be processed. We will notify you by email or phone when the item has been processed.


Please inform us by email if you wish to exchange an item. We will then advise you if we have the stock and if there will be any additional postage costs.

  • Print out the Returns Note
  • Please indicate on the Returns Note that you wish to exchange clearly stating the product required.
  • Follow steps 3-6 of the Return procedure as above.
  • We will notify you by email when the item is dispatched to you.

Liability Statement

All sports activities are potentially hazardous. It is your responsibility to learn and understand the proper techniques associated with safe participation in these activities and to fully accept and assume all risks, damages, injury or death which may result from the use of the items sold on the website of Bennetts Wintersports.


Should you have cause to complain, please contact us via email and we will endeavour to reply and address your issues within 5 days.

Changes to Terms & Conditions

This website may be subject to change without prior notice. Orders placed will be subject to the terms and conditions displayed at the time of order.

Statutory Rights

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a customer.
